This is a bottle of 1840 Hivert-Pellevoisin Cognac. It once belonged to the famous American newspaper and magazine editor, Frank Munsey. It was part of a cache of rare 19th and very early 20th century spirits bottles that were found full and sealed from the defunct Mohican Hotel. This bottle, along with dozens of others, was found in an adjacent home on Mr. Munsey's estate. The cellar was discovered behind a false door/wall.
